10 things God won't ask:

10 things God won't ask:

1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove; He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

2. God won't ask the square footage of your house, He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He’ll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4. God won't ask what your highest salary was; He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5. God won't ask what your job title was; He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

6. God won't ask how many friends you had; He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

8. God won't ask about the color of your skin, He'll ask about the content of your character.

9. God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation; He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.

10. God won't ask how many people you forwarded this to; He'll ask if you were ashamed to pass it on to your friends.

The Pastor and his son

..........................................................................................................................................................................
Short Talk:
All the best to all the Students who will be sitting for their final examinations. To all the Swinburne students study hard and study hard for the upcoming final examinations. All the best to all of you and God bless you all.

..........................................................................................................................................................................
A good reminder of God's Love.

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts.

This particular Sundayafternoon, as it came time for thePastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was verycold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, "OK, dad,I'm ready."

His Pastor dad asked, "Ready for what?"

"Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out." Dad responds, "Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring down rain." The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, "But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?"

Dad answers, "Son, I am not going out in this weather." Despondently, the boy asks, "Dad, can I go? Please?"

His father hesitated for a moment then said, "Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son."

"Thanks Dad!"

And with that, he was off and out into the rain. his eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract.

After two hours of walking in the rain,
he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted.

Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.

Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again and this time the door slowly opened. Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, "What can I do for you, son?" With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, "Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE." With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. "Thank you, son! And God Bless You!"

Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, "Does anybody have any testimony or want to say anything?"

Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, "No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live. So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the neck. Standing on that chair, so lonely and broken-hearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, "I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away." I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to myself again, "Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me." I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.

When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you! The words that came from his mouthcaused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, "Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU." Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.

As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more. You see---I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell."

There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated.

He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honour for his son... Except for One.

Our Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honour to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named. Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.

Heaven is for His people!
Remember, God's message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you.

Learn from this. As the saying goes No pain, No gain. Thus, we should accept the pain and out future will be fruitful.

Don't feel the work that you do is pain, because there will be always a reason for that pain or work. So face the pain, for the pain you face, there will be definitely happiness ahead. Remember When God puts us in this pain or work he always has a plan and he knows what he is doing. Our God is a wise God and also a great God.

10 extra things you should know about studying technique

Throughout schooling years, we must have heard a lot about studying techniques and examination tips. Here are some of the practical methods that will maximize your chances of shining in exams.

1. Start by tidying-up it’s therapeutic! A neat study desk or space will le you feel more in control and confident.

2. In the morning, your body is more refreshed and capable to absorb more information – so, take that time to concentrate on subjects that are more factual in nature e.g. Biology, History & Economics. Switch to more relaxing subject like Mathematics, English & Arts as the sun gets higher in the day.

3. Some may study better sprawled on the floor, sitting across-legged or walking about. Find out what studying posture suits you the best. However, never study lying on bed. It makes you feel sleepier and damages your eyes.

4. You need about eight hours of sleep on the average. If you tend to have a nap in the afternoon, be careful not too nap too long, as it can disrupt normal sleeping patterns. If you must have nap, make it less than an hour.

5. Avoid Maggie Mee and sweet stuff (Chocolates, ice cream and candies) at least a month before any major examinations. They contain chemicals that affect your blood flow to the brain.

6. Eat more fish and banana. They are your brain food.

7. Divide your assignments or homework into 4 categories by priority: important and urgent, not important but urgent, important but not urgent and not important and not urgent.

8. You need to practice/repeat a routine for at least 56 days consistently before it becomes a habit or something you would not forget until you die.

9. Music and mathematics are inter-enhancing because they are located almost opposite to each other in your cerebrum. Theoretically, listening to soft music will help you to do calculations easier and vice versa. Hard metal and rock music are an exception.

10.Memorize and meditate Matthew 6:33 (Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given unto you as well) Don’t let studies become your god, but let Jesus be the God of your studies@

Our brains are our important asset and valued gift bestowed by the Creator. Therefore, as Christians, we aspire to be good students because we display a good witness to others and we please God by working and fulfilling the potential that God has made for us. Put in our best efforts in studies, and then leave the result to Him.

The Lantern building competition

It was another wonderful night to praise the Lord. We could feel the presence of the Lord with us that night.

Melvin was the leader for that night and Hui Na was leading the praise and worship. Tiong Yieng lead the games, but there was no game that night. Why? I'll get to that later. We started off a bit different tonight, usually after the opening prayer we will move on to games then Praise and Worship to be followed. But for that night Praise and Worship started out first after that we move on to the game part.

Well... as I was saying there was no games tonight. Because Ah Yieng had a better idea, that is, lantern making. But there was plagiarism inside this idea of hers. Why? Seems like the idea was from the mooncake gathering night that was held on Monday night co-hosted by Swinburne Choir and Anime Club. Well... the organisers didn't say anything so we proceeded on with the lantern making contest.

First, we were divided into 2 groups. The 1 time winners and the 2 time winners, each of the groups sat down and had to brainstorm on what to make. Of course the lanterns had to mean something, what is message that lies within the design of the lantern.

1 time Champions!

2 time Champions

I was in the 2 time winner group. So basically I know most of the funny things going on in that group. We started brainstorming for ideas. Actually I didn't need to think that much because with Genius Johnson and Melvin they soon figured out the design. We even had the blueprint! How about that!

Ok, so what is our design? We are going to design a.... a....house! Yes! a house .... nah I am just joking. The plan was to design a tortoise. Amazed? well be amazed! Think its impossible? Nothing is impossible... impossible this word is never in our dictionary! Well.... basically Johnson's dictionary.

Serious worker

The genius

The other genius

As we started off with our tortoise, the 1 time winner group started off with theirs too. They decided to build a lantern portraying GOD with the light in the centre. A wonderful idea.

20 minutes was given to finish up the whole lantern and each of the group members worked hard together. Some wrote their wishes, some cute the wires to make the frame, some drew the turtle shell, some bend the wires to make a nice frame etc.

The wishes

Once completed, Chang Ting decided to bring the lantern out for a walk. After that, it was off to supper.

Proud of our creation

1 time champions team

2 time champions team

some really proud people

Well I think I've said enough, let the photos do the talking. Enjoy!

feeling tired after the hardwork

Melvin! I know you are hungry but don't eat Xiao man!!

There is a tortoise on me head =)

Ah Yieng looks a bit like Xiao man.
